Abhangs are devotional poetry sung to praise the almighty and exuberant expressions of the communitarian experience.  Bolava Vitthal was initiated to showcase this rare folk art of Western India across several places in India. This year on the auspicious eve of ‘Ashadhi Ekadashi’ Bolava Vitthal will be held on Wednesday,17 July 2024 from 5.30 pm onwards at Sri Shanmukhananda, Chandrasekarendra Saraswathi Auditorium. The concert shall feature renowned vocalists Kaushiki Chakraborty, Jayateerth Mevundi, and Venkatesh Kumar. “Bolava Vitthal” is a musical event held in Mumbai that focuses on Abhangs, devotional songs dedicated to Lord Vithoba, a form of the Hindu deity Krishna.
